Frequently asked questions

My rowing/paddling workout isn't showing up in the app.
Make sure Health access is enabled for Source to Sea: The Nile under Settings → Privacy & Security → Health, and that your workout is logged as Rowing or a Paddle Sport (kayak, canoe, SUP) with a distance value. Workouts without a distance sample need to be entered manually instead — the app never estimates distance from heart rate or duration. You can also tap the refresh button on the map to pull the latest Health data.

A workout was flagged as a possible duplicate — what do I do?
Open the Workouts screen (under Profile) and choose whether to keep it or ignore it. The app never deletes or merges data automatically.

How do I appear on the leaderboard?
Go to Profile → Leaderboard, choose a display name and country, and turn on "Show me on the leaderboard." This is off by default and can be turned off again at any time.

How do I reset my progress or delete my account?
Profile → Reset progress (keeps your account, clears your progress) or Profile → Delete all my data (permanently removes everything and cannot be undone).

Does the app use my location?
No. The app has no location or GPS access at all — your position on the route is calculated purely from your logged distance.
